After a tough start to the season, County travelled to Yorkshire once more to take on Bradford City in Eccleshill. The Hatters featured an (almost) unchanged side from their loss to Brighouse the previous weekend. Jess Linford remained in goal after a POTM performance in Yorkshire. Hanna Wilson, Abi Hayes, Jodie Hancock and Masa Butler made up the back four while Imogen Porteous-Williams, Beth Scholey, Sophie John, Ellise Newby and Elle Charnley found themselves in midfield while Hanifa Douglas started up top alone.
The Hatters got off to a bright start, with Ellise Newby coming dangerously close from the edge of the six-yard box. County continued their good start with a flurry of corners before the deadlock was broken by an excellent corner from Elle Charnley which was met by Newby and headed into the back of the net on seventeen minutes.
The lead was doubled by Newby with an excellent finish just 30 seconds later to give the Hatters their first two-goal cushion of the season thus far. Imogen Porteous-Williams then found herself through on goal only to be brought down by the goalkeeper for a penalty.
Elle Charnley stepped up and buried the spot-kick into the back of the net to give the Hatters a three goal lead.

The second half started brightly with Douglas coming close a number of times, but there were a decent number of missed chances early on.
County got their fourth through Douglas with 65 minutes on the clock with another excellent finish from close range.
It looked set to end 4-0 with just minutes remaining but a defensive mix-up lead to one of the Bantams’ attackers finding themselves with an open goal to pull back a consolation goal.
